(Home)

M110 (also known as NGC 205) is a 9th magnitude elliptical galaxy. It is a satellite of M31 (The Great Andromeda Galaxy). These galaxies are found in the constellation Andromeda (the Princess of Ethiopia). M110 is 21.9' by 10.8' in size.

Calibration was done in MaxIm DL, alignment was done with Mira AP, and LRGB layering was done with Photoshop.  With an average altitude of 87 degrees, I balanced this to an RGB ratio of 1.15 : 1.00 : 2.05. The data was taken November 2, 2002 with the 12" LX200, AO7, and ST-8E camera from my home dome on Mistletoe Rd, Monmouth Oregon.
