M3 (NGC 5272) is a magnitude 6.4, 16.2 arc-minute globular found in Canes Venatici (The Hunting Dogs).

This shot was taken at f/6.3 with the 12" LX200 and ST-8E CCD from my back yard in Monmouth Oregon on June 17, 2000. A big Moon was in the sky.  It is a composition of ten unguided 30 second exposures, CCDSharped, and DDPed.

Unfortunately, the temperature dropped since the last time I had focussed, and this resulted in larger, softer stars.
