M5 - A Globular Cluster

M5 (NGC 5904) is a magnitude 5.8, 17.4 arc-minute globular found in Serpens (The Serpent Head).

This shot was taken at f/6.3 with the 12" LX200 and ST-8E CCD from my back yard in Monmouth Oregon on June 17, 2000. A big Moon was in the sky.  It is a composition of eleven unguided 30 second exposures, CCDSharped, and DDPed.
