M91 (NGC 4548) is a barred spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices (Berenice's Hair). It's a part of the Virgo cluster, and sits at 60 million light years distance. It shines at magnitude of 10.2, and is 5.4 by 4.4 arc-minutes in size.
This image is a composite of two 2x2 binned 10 minute exposures. Taken with the ST-8E and 12" LX200 at f/10.
A mag 13.4 guide star was used at 3 second integrations.
The composite was CCDSharp'd and cropped to the final image.
Taken at the Mistletoe site near Monmouth Oregon on May 5, 2000.
