(Home)

M92 (NGC 6341) is a magnitude 6.5, 11.2 arc-minute globular found in Hercules.  It is fairly near the Great Hercules Cluster (M13), so is often overlooked.

This shot was taken at f/6.3 with the 12" LX200, ST-8E CCD, and AO7 from my dome in Monmouth ,Oregon on July 7, 2001.  It is LRGB with 10 frames each of L at 20 sec, R at 1 minute, G at 1 minute, and B at 2 minute. L was binned 2x2, and the color frames 3x3.  DDP was used in processing.
