This irregular galaxy (NGC 6822) is a member of the local group.  It's found in Sagittarius (the Archer).  It shines at magnitude 10.3, and is 15.3' x13.4' across.

The above image is a composite of five 5 minute binned exposures.  Taken at f/6.3 with the 12" LX200 and the ST-8E.  Taken on July 31, 2000 at the Mistletoe site out side of Monmouth Oregon.
