The Pelican Nebula (IC 5070) is a reflection nebula found in Cygnus (The Swan). The full nebula is 80' in size.
The image above was taken with the ST-8E camera at f/5 on the new FSQ 106N and AP900 from Mistletoe Observatory in Monmouth Oregon. It has data from three nights spanning Aug 3 through Aug 10, 2007. It is an Ha+RGB composite (as detailed below) with a total exposure time of 3 hours 20 min. The Ha and R were averaged to get the red frame for a RGB merge. Calibration and alignment were done in MaxIm DL. Final processing was done with Photoshop.
